Hi! My name is Brittany Nelson, and I’m a 2nd grade teacher here at Diamond Valley. I’m originally from Arizona and graduated from Arizona State University. I’ve been teaching for 9 years, and I absolutely love working with young learners and helping them grow.

Outside of school, I enjoy reading, watching my favorite comfort shows, and playing volleyball. My husband is currently in his 3rd year of medical school at Rocky Vista, and we share our home with our two sweet dogs.

I I feel so lucky to be part of such a supportive school community and can’t wait to see what this year brings!

My Email: Megan.bowthorpe@washk12.org

Hi! My name is Megan Bowthorpe. I am excited to be the new 2nd grade teacher at Diamond Valley Elementary. I have loved being a substitute teacher the last few years, but I'm looking forward to being in a new role. I graduated from the University of Utah in Spanish.  I  worked in the healthcare field for several years, and then found my way to education. I worked as a first grade teacher in Northern Utah, but decided to stay home with my children for a few years. I have lived in St. George Utah for 3 years now, and love it! I love reading books, spending time with my family, and watching movies. I'm looking forward to the new school year!
