My name is Kelly Carmona, and I’m excited to be teaching second grade in the Spanish Dual Immersion program at Diamond Valley Elementary. I’m originally from Colombia, where I earned my degree in Special Education. Spanish is my native language, and I love bringing my culture and language into the classroom in creative and meaningful ways.

I have been a teacher for over ten years. I’m known for being cheerful, patient, and full of ideas. I enjoy using creative strategies in the classroom and adapting lessons to fit each student’s learning style. I also love teaching Spanish as a second language and sharing the richness of my culture along the way.

After moving to the U.S. seven years ago, I feel grateful to now call St. George home. It’s a joy to be part of the Diamond Valley community and to share this journey of learning with my students.
